The safety of our visitors at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland is our priority.
Hyde Park Winter Wonderland works with the ADIPS Scheme, the UK national scheme for inspection and certification of fairground rides and amusement devices. All ride operators are required to submit an in-date Declaration of Operational Compliance (DOC) completed by a registered ADIPS inspection body, before they are able to operate their ride at the event.
In addition to the DOCs, Hyde Park Winter Wonderland works with two ride consultants, who provide us with independent expertise based on the ride build and the ride operations; enabling us to go over-and-above what is required by UK law and the standards in order to assure a high level of safety for the rides at our event.
Before allowing rides to open to the public, our ride consultants provide an Installation Inspection of each ride to confirm it has been transported and built to specification safely. During the event, our ride consultants regularly monitor the rides, ensuring they are being operated safely and to a high standard, working closely with our ride management team.
Each morning during Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, the ride operators are required to submit a completed daily inspection checklist before being allowed to open.
